Story: Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen appears as Ali G, a rapper-wannabe from Staines. Ali G has his own TV show, where he interviews people on serious subjects. Theyre not aware that Ali G is just a character and theyre being set up as part of a comedy act. Cohen also appears in two other guises: as Borat, a Kazakhstani reporter, and Bruno, a gay Austrian fashionista. Hilarity ensues. —grantss

Hipster Ali G. interviews a variety of guests from the world of crime prevention, drug enforcement and the judiciary to discuss the issues of crime and drugs in Britain and America. Ali G, however, is very much in favor of them, and the absolute naivete with which he interviews his guests frequently catches them completely off guard.

An ignorant, wannabe-Jamaican British b-boy; an anti-Semitic, misogynistic but friendly Kazakhstani television reporter; and a homosexual Austrian fashonista--all played by Sacha Baron Cohen--conduct interviews on unsuspecting Americans, who include prominent pundits in the political system and celebrities, that reveal deeply hidden prejudices and challenge social mores within American society.
