Story: A mysterious woman, fashion designer by day and prostitute by night, is hounded by two men: a married father of two children and a sexually repressed preacher.

30-year-old hardworking Bobby Grady is married with two children, and his marriage to frigid Amy is in crisis. Bobby is invited to work the night shift at a fashion-design studio whose owner believes that his talented, introspective designed Joanna Crane is selling his designs to competitors. Bobby accepts the job to make money and please Amy with a bathtub. Following Joanna after-hours, he discovers her double life, working as $50-hooker China Blue in the red-light district, satisfying her clients fantasies with kinky sex. Bobby becomes obsessed with China Blue, and when the true thieves are found, he has sex with her and thinks hes in love with her. Meanwhile, insane preacher Rev. Peter Shayne (Anthony Perkins) decides to save Joannas soul and stalks her everywhere.

A sportswear-designer leads a double life as a hooker named China Blue. One of her clients, a divorced man, decides he loves her and figures out who she is. He then begins wooing her, which she fights against since he was a client. Meanwhile, a street preacher works the red-light district trying to save souls. He starts stalking China, determined to save her immortal soul. Eventually he gets out of hand and the man in love with her must try to help her.
