Story: A young woman from a privileged life falls for a soup-kitchen owner after discovering a Dear Santa letter written by his 7-year-old daughter.

Beverly Hills 90210 alumni Jason Priestley takes the helm for this warmhearted romantic comedy about a die-hard party girl struggling to change her frivolous ways. Crystal (Amy Acker) comes from a wealthy family and loves to spend money-her parents money. When they decide its time she made something of her life, they give her until Christmas to clean up her act--if she doesnt, they will promptly cancel her credit cards. Petrified at the prospect of having no money and no boyfriend, Crystal has a flash of inspiration when she finds a letter to Santa from 7-year-old Olivia (Emma Duke), who wants Santa to find her widower father Derek (David Haydn-Jones) a new wife. Derek owns a local soup kitchen and has dedicated his life to helping others. Though Crystal has never set foot in a soup kitchen, she soon seeks out Derek and starts volunteering her time to get closer to him, unaware that Dereks girlfriend Jillian (Gina Holden) will do anything to keep her man to herself. Meanwhile, Crystal remains determined to prove herself, despite the obstacles n her way.

In the runup to Christmas, 30-year-old Crystal Carruthers, who leads a frivolous, irresponsible life on her parents dime, gets an ultimatum from her mother: if she doesnt find a job or a husband by Christmas Day, her parents will cut her off financially. Crystal opts for the latter when she discovers a letter to Santa from a girl named Olivia who wants Santa to find a new wife for her father, a widower of two years. While tracking down the father and daughter, Derek and Olivia Gowen, Crystal resolves to become the second Mrs. Gowen, even after learning that he runs a soup kitchen--helping the down and out is as far away from her mentality as possible. Later she learns that she has competition in the form of Jillian, who was Dereks girlfriend before he met Laura, who became his wife and Olivias mother. Jillian is determined to hold on to Derek this time around.
