Story: In first-century Rome, Christian slave Demetrius is sent to fight in the gladiatorial arena and Emperor Caligula seeks Jesus robe for its alleged magical powers.

The story picks up at the point where "" ends, following the martyrdom of Diana and Marcellus. Christs robe is conveyed to Peter for safe-keeping, but the emperor Caligula wants it back to benefit from its powers. Marcellus former slave Demetrius seeks to prevent this, and catches the eye of Messalina, wife to Caligulas uncle Claudius. Messalina tempts Demetrius, he winds up fighting in the arena, and wavers in his faith.

Picking up where left off, the defiant Greek slave, Demetrius, who has already embraced Christianity, finds himself working as a potter in Rome following the martyrdom of his friends, Marcellus Gallio and Diana. However, as the deranged ruler, Emperor Caligula, covets the sacred, supposedly magic-imbued Robe of Jesus, before long, a brief fight with Roman soldiers robs Demetrius of his precious freedom, sentencing him to train as a gladiator. There, at the blood-soaked arena of the gladiator school, Demetrius catches the eye of Messalina, the seductive, promiscuous wife to Caligulas uncle, Claudius, and unable to understand the deafening silence of God, he gives in to lust. Can Demetrius find himself and rediscover his faith?
