Story: Echoing in the deepest depths of space, a humble prayer ascends from Maire Taylor, a smart, beautiful businesswoman who asks that her husband find the strength and wisdom to let go of their 9-year old marriage - While a second prayer comes from Billy Taylor, a hopelessly romantic artist who asks that his wife receive the strength and wisdom to hold on. From these humble pleas come an answer in the form of a little miracle (an 8-year-old runaway from heaven) who takes it upon herself to rekindle the once-intimate friendship and romance that has slipped away from Billy and Maire after a heart-wrenching loss. Using all of her skill and charm, as well as some well-intentioned mischief, she comically sets out to heal their broken hearts and save their marriage by helping them get back to the basics of love.

In the lead-up to Christmas, Billy and Maire Taylor are going through an emotionally-draining divorce after nine years of marriage. They have always been aware of their differences--hes artistic, shes business-minded--which he always thought made their relationship more exciting, but now she feels it taking its toll on her. She does realize that those differences are what has made their business work (a retail store called Poets Walk selling Billys designed greeting cards), but she now wants to sell the business in the break-up of their marriage, Sean Miller representing the company interested in buying. Things start to change when an adolescent girl calling herself Taylor invades their house, looking remarkably like the girl that Billy has just sketched. After some missteps in trying to find out who she is, Billy and Maire learn that she is an angel, one that no one else can see, escaped from heaven, and she wants to be their daughter. Although they might not be able to overcome all their marital differences, both Billy and Maire begin to focus on Taylor. In the process, they may not be fully aware that her mission is to make them fall in love with each other all over again so that they wont get divorced; she has a special interest in this task because of something in Billy and Maires past. Seans presence in their lives complicates her task, especially when he admits that he wants to be more to Maire. Can she reunite Billy and Maire before her heavenly handler Donatello catches up with her?
