Story: When a young owl is abducted by an evil Owl army, he must escape with new-found friends and seek the legendary Guardians to stop the menace.

Soren (Jim Sturgess), a young barn owl, is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggies, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of GaHoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggies.
