Story: On June 28, 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria is in Sarajevo with his wife, Sophie. While through the city by car, they are victims of an attack and die. This is the trigger of the First World War.

An ordinary summer day in the city of Sarajevo harbors the historic tale of world altering events that lead to the first world war. The story follows a Croatian magistrate and his struggles as he attempts to unravel the plots of two young men responsible for the murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

On June 28, 1914 Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary, and his wife are assassinated in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo. The assassination was carried out by a group of Serbs, fueling speculation that Serbia was behind it. Leo Pfeffer is put in charge of the investigation into the assassination and starts to turn up events and connections that seem out of place.
