Story: Dramatization depicting the events surrounding Adolf Hitlers (Sir Anthony Hopkins) last weeks in and around his underground bunker in Berlin before and during the battle for the city.

In 1945, The Third Reich is in its death throes with the Allies relentlessly attacking the capital city of Berlin. Its Führer, (Sir Anthony Hopkins), retreats into his fortified bunker in Berlin with his senior staff. There, gripped with delusions of grandeur and despair, Hitler commands a hopeless last stand with resources existing largely in his own mind. While resisting the pleas of rational minions like (Richard Jordan), basic reality finally comes unavoidable. With that, Hitler and his fanatical fellows prepare for their own end even as their grandiose dreams are becoming a smoking ruin above.

In the final days of World War II, (Sir Anthony Hopkins) and his closest advisers are sequestered in an underground bunker in Berlin. As the Battle of Berlin rages above ground and Nazi forces are nearing certain defeat, Hitler nervously awaits his fate with his girlfriend, (Susan Blakely); his right-hand man, (Cliff Gorman); and his chief architect, (Richard Jordan). In the final hours of his life, Hitler married Braun, his longtime companion.
