Story: A crusading district attorney finally gets a chance to prosecute the organizer and boss of Murder Inc.

After years of pursuit, Assistant D.A. Martin Ferguson has a good case against Murder, Inc. boss Albert Mendoza. Mendoza is in jail and his lieutenant Joseph Rico is going to testify. But Rico falls to his death and Ferguson must work through the night going over everything to build the case anew.

Dist. Atty. Martin Ferguson has the chance to send criminal Albert Mendoza to the electric chair. He depends on the testimony of Mendozas right arm; Joseph Rico. But, Ricos so scared, he commits a mistake and dies. Ferguson pours over the case - again, and again, trying to find any new evidence, or witness, he mightve missed. Through flashbacks, Ferguson sees what happened, up until Ricos death. Will going over the case help Ferguson find a missing point hes so far missed?
