Simon, son of the wizard, must flee when the empire is overthrown by the evil Shurka. Schooled in the arts of magic, he must find the Ring of Magic and the Sword of Power and defeated the wizard who killed his father. He is joined in his quest by the swordmaster Kor, his faithful creature Gulfax, and the Forest Wizard Hurla.

In the mystical kingdom of Axeholme, the demonic warlock, Shurka, usurps the throne with the aid of the traitorous Queen Udea, overthrowing the realms benevolent ruler, King Tylor. As the ruthless duo rules the land with an iron fist, the brave teenage magician, Simon, and his woolly companion, Gulfax, embark on a peril-laden quest to liberate the enslaved Princess Aura, along with the dauntless swordsman, Kor.
