Episode Info: Deserted by Robyn and his firm David moves into a budget hotel but his daughters take pity on him and persuade Karen to put him up. He is soon jealous of his ex-wife and her new lover Eddie who, in addition to providing her with a healthy sex life, seems to know everybody. Adam is also upset that Angela seems happy to stay in Singapore with her job whilst Pete is shocked to discover that Harry has died. Story: The show follows the lives of 30-something couples Adam and Rachel, Pete and Jenny, and David and Karen as they navigate love and life in Manchester.

At times comedic and at other times heartbreaking, the series follows the intertwining lives of three Manchester couples at different relationship stages. At the start, Adam Williams and Rachel Bradley are a new couple. Adams best friend Pete Gifford and his wife Jenny are adjusting to life as new parents, and Rachels friends Karen and David Marsden fear the possible disintegration of their marriage. The later series picks up their stories over a decade later.
