Episode Info: Cristela is tutoring and rooting for Isabella to get into the "Gifted and Talented" school program, partly because Cristela did not get in as a child. When Isabella throws the exam because shes afraid of hurting her brothers feelings, tensions mount between Cristela and Natalia over the program and Natalia reveals a hurtful secret. Meanwhile at the office, after Maddie gets into another car accident, Trent decides to punish Maddie by sending her to the mail room which provides a bit of a challenge for Maddie to grasp.

Story: In her sixth year of law school, Cristela is finally on the brink of landing her first big (unpaid) internship at a prestigious law firm. The only problem is that her pursuit of success is more ambitious than her traditional Mexican-American family thinks is appropriate. Shes stuck straddling the old culture shes trying to modernize at home with her working-class family and the modern world shes trying to embrace in her professional career.
