Episode Info: Brin contacts Zack before she is captured. Max and Zach has no choice but to force Lydecker to tell her whereabouts. They teamed up and follow Brin to a military facility where Brin is to be sold to the highest bidder. Once there, Lydecker double crosses the two X-5s and decides to be in on the sale. Max and Zack manage to escape from captivity with Brin who is suffering from a condition that speeds up aging. She has no choice but to receive help from Lydecker. Max and Zack accept Brins decision and leave her to be picked up by the man who made them.

Story: A group of genetically-enhanced children escape from a lab project. Years later we meet Max, one of the escapees who now works for a messenger service in the post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest.

In a future of political, economic and moral collapse, a genetically enhanced superhuman prototype named Max escapes from military confines and dwells amidst the decadent underground street life of *Seattle* to avoid government agents who want to bring her back into the fold. Searching for others of her kind who were scattered in the aftermath of her escape, Max encounters Logan, an idealistic cyber-journalist battling repression and corruption in post-apocalypse America. Eventually, Logan calls her to the highest part of her being and Max becomes his samurai as the pair takes on the ruthless power-brokers of the new millennium. Max and Logans odyssey leads them closer to the secret of her past, deepening and complicating their relationship in the process.
