Episode Info: A party of airline crew is staying at an hotel on the island and stewardess Natasha Thiebert is found dead by poisoning. She had just written a postcard home to describe exciting news. Evidence suggests that pilot Adam Frost, boyfriend of cabin crew member Helen Walker, was in Natashas room before she died and he admits he had gone to tell her the news of her promotion. Steward Max Leigh was also hoping for that promotion and co-pilot Paul Bevans was in debt to Natasha for money she loaned him to give gambling creditors. Story: A Detective Inspector is transferred from London to the Caribbean island of Saint-Marie to investigate and solve complex homicides.

Scotland Yard DI Richard Poole is sent to the Caribbean island of Sainte Marie to solve a fellow policemans murder. Having done so, he is seconded to the local police force as the dead mans replacement. Poole proves to be a brilliant detective, solving several complex murders. Hes not quite suited to, and doesnt like, the pace of island life or the heat and the sand; he also doesnt like seafood. That aside, the place is just great. In later series, other English and Irish police officers head the investigative team, namely Humphrey Goodman, Jack Mooney, and Neville Parker.
