Episode Info: When a rash of home invasions hit West Hollywood, it leads the Sherriffs department to discover a burglary ring, whose members are competing against one another for bragging rights. Paula and Maggie continue to plan Maggies Quinceaera, enlisting the help of Paulas mother. Meanwhile, Bishop tries to deal with an uncomfortable conversation with Genevieve .

Story: Deputy Bill Hollister, a career lawman who is very comfortable kicking down doors but utterly lost in a staff meeting, becomes acting sheriff of Los Angeles County when the sheriff drops dead.

The Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department is one of the largest police forces in the world, but when the elected sheriff dies, an arcane rule in the county charter, forged back in the Wild West, suddenly thrusts the most unlikely man into the job. That man is Bill Hollister. A fifth-generation lawman, Bill is only interested in justice; his soul wears a white hat. The bad guys dont stand a chance, but neither do the politicos in the Hall of Justice. Under Bills command is a county-wide crew of LAs finest, including Deputy Cade Ward, a former Marine stationed in Afghanistan, eight years sober and one of Bills few confidantes; Deputy Brianna Bishop, the whip-smart, sarcastic driver in charge of Bills security detail; and Deputy Joseph Harris, the son of Bills fallen partner. The dangers associated with the job often lead the police to LA County General Hospital, where Bill butts heads with Dr. Paula Reyes, the hospitals chief trauma surgeon--and his wife. Given a job he never wanted, in an unfamiliar sea of politics, Bill quickly learns that doing what is expected and doing what is right are two different things and that his innate, dogged pursuit of justice is the only skill the job truly requires.

"Deputy" follows Deputy Bill Hollister, a career lawman who is very comfortable kicking down doors, but is utterly lost in a staff meeting. When the L.A. County Sheriff drops dead, Bill becomes acting Sheriff of Los Angeles County, in charge of 10,000 sworn deputies policing a modern Wild West.
