Episode Info: After Madame Foster rescues an imaginary friend, she is treated as a hero by everyone. Bloo also wants to be a hero so he founds his own home for imaginary friends. Mac tries to make Bloo stop since his home is nothing but a cardboard box and the only "imaginary friends" are two puppets that Bloo calls Purple and Sharkhead. Bloo mistakes a cat for an imaginary friend and makes a family adopt it. Soon Bloo remembers the great times he had with the cat and goes to the familys house to get it back.

Story: A boy and his beloved imaginary friend are able to stay together at an orphanage of sorts for imaginary friends that children have outgrown to be adopted by new children.

Sometimes imaginary friends get lost or kids outgrow them and thats why Madame Foster started Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. When kids dream up pals, they come to life and the house is filled with diverse characters waiting to be reunited or adopted to new kids. The series focuses on building friendships and the importance of friends.

Eight-year-old Mac has outgrown his imaginary friend, says his mother, so he takes his buddy Bloo (a walking, talking security blanket) to Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. Here all sorts of odd characters, given up by their creators, are welcome to stay until new kids come to adopt them. Mac strikes a deal with Madame Foster, the proprietor: as long as he comes to visit every day, Bloo will not be put up for adoption.
