Episode Info: A healer is in Camelot using magic to heal the sick, and Gaius quickly realizes it is Alice, a woman whom he was about to marry many years earlier until she had to flee from Uthers persecution of sorcerers. Now Gaius is happy to work with Alice again in preparing potions, but he is unaware that Alice is being controlled by a mythical monster, a manticore, which urges her to poison the cold-hearted king. To break the manticores hold over Alice and ultimately save her from execution, Gaius has to perform the magic that he possessed but had forsaken long ago.

Story: These are the brand new adventures of Merlin, the legendary sorcerer as a young man, when he was just a servant to young Prince Arthur on the royal court of Camelot, who has soon become his best friend, and turned Arthur into a great king and a legend.

Young Merlin (Colin Morgan) is a teenager, discovering and then learning to master his magical gift. Magister Gaius (Richard Wilson), King Uther Pendragons (Anthony Heads) learned court physician to whom hes assigned as humble page, teaches him medicine, coaches his magical self-study, and warns him of Uthers strong aversion to magic. Merlin becomes squire to the noble but imprudent crown Prince, Arthur (Bradley James), whose fate is linked with Merlin.

This is a story of young Merlin (Colin Morgan), a simple servant to young Prince Arthur (Bradley James) in royal court of Camelot.They soon became best friends, but Merlin has a secret: hes a mighty sorcerer who has to hide his magical powers even from Arthur, so that he can stay alive.
