Episode Info: In groups of two, all the students find themselves up court for causing breaches of the peace or riots. Flashbacks show how these came about but Mr Brown, defending his students, puts up such a good case that leading magistrate Miss Courtney dismisses all the cases. Unfortunately once outside the court Mr Brown has reason to believe he will soon be back in front of Miss Courtney, this time as a defendant.

Story: A diverse group of immigrants and foreigners learn English at an adult education school in London.

Jeremy Brown is a put-upon language teacher who tries to make a living by teaching English to immigrants. With pupils from India, France, China, and many other countries, his lessons do not always go as planned.
