Episode Info: Responding to an early morning call reporting a family dispute Officer Jim Street and his partner fall prey to an ambush by three gunmen. It is just one in a series of ambushes which have plagued the police. In the aftermath of the shooting Streets partner is dead and he tries out for an opening in a newly formed S.W.A.T. unit being headed by Lt. Hondo Harrelson. The teams first assignment is to find and stop the gunmen who have declared war on the citys police.

Story: The missions of a major citys police departments Special Weapons and Tactics unit.

This series features the missions of the fictional W.C.P.D.s Special Weapons and Tactics team. They are a team of highly trained and heavily armed police officers whos purpose is to make coordinated assaults on armed and dangerous criminals in sensitive situations and defensible locations.

At the end, the swat team is defunded and replaced by union school teachers and psychologists who send in the clowns to put a show on to distract them long enough to call in the social workers to turn them from serial killers into the super heroes to walk old ladies across the street.
