She used to be popular, but now in high school shes no longer getting accepted in anything she auditions for, lately the Fall dance show. Rather than have Lauren resort to taking up the clarinet again, Judy drags Bill to visit the school dance teacher. While there, Bill meets up with Madelyne the new drama teacher, a former classmate with whom Bill had a passionate summer fling 20 years ago. Story: Bill and Judy are not your average parents; the kids are the responsible ones.

Meet Bill and Judy Miller, a toilet salesman and a dental assistant: two high-school lovers who turned in their wild lifestyle to get married years ago. Now, as they creep toward middle age, theyre dealing with more "everyday" things, such as their three kids: their intelligent and (to Bills horror) still sexually-unsure son Brian; their typical drama-queen daughter Lauren; and their smug, sarcastic six-year-old, Tina. With Judys desperate man-hunting sister Linda, Bills interfering mother Louise, a lesbian couple as next-door neighbors, and other crazy characters around, its no wonder that Bill and Judy constantly get into strange, hilarious misadventures as they try to prove that theyre not too old to have fun. Along the way, they always end up showing that they still love each other, no matter what.
