Episode Info: Mr. Mooney leaves the office for two weeks of training in the Naval Reserve, but forgets to sign some important papers. Lucy tracks him to the submarine on which he will sail on maneuvers and, dressing as a sailor boards the ship in an attempt to get him to sign the document. The submarine leaves for sea before Lucy can leave the vessel and shes forced to pretend that shes just another sailor.

Story: The wacky misadventures of a forever-scheming woman, her reluctant best friend, and her cantankerous boss.

After her husbands death, Lucy Carmichael and her recently-divorced best friend Vivian Bagley move into a house together with their children. The series follows the adventures of the widow Lucy as she grapples with the comic complications of life on her own, with her income being controlled by impatient, grumpy banker Mr. Mooney.
