Episode Info: Its Spring and time for Alice and Hugos baby to be christened. As Geraldine is one of the godparents the Bishop arrives to perform the ceremony. Somewhat surprisingly David proposes marriage to Geraldine, who says that she will consider it. However, after Sean Bean has appeared to her in a dream telling her not to go through with it, she turns David down.

Story: A boisterous female minister comes to serve in an eccentricly conservative small towns church.

The 100-something vicar of the small English village of Dibley has passed on. A new vicar has been requested for a replacement. What they get is Geraldine Granger, a non-traditional, chocolate loving, rock n roll playing vicar. That is not what gets the citizens of Dibley in a uproar though. Its because she is a woman. Still, that doesnt stop Geraldine from proving her worthiness to the village. After time, the villagers (with the exception of influential David Horton) accept Geraldine as The Vicar of Dibley.
