Episode Info: The Thornberrys are driving in the Andes Mountains in Peru on the way to visit Dr. Spinoza the worlds foremost authority on vampire bats. This is a special trip for Marianne who was a student of Dr. Spinozas twenty years ago. On the way Eliza starts reading about bats and her movie memories about vampires starts spooking her a bit. Dr. Spinoza lives in a remote, big castle and he is not at all like Marianne remembers. Everything about him gets Elizas imagination going and Debbie sees it as a chance to have some fun at her sisters expense.

Story: The life of an adventurous family from the point of view of an eleven-year-old girl gifted with animal language.

Eliza Thornberry (Lacey Chabert) is not your ordinary kid. Its not just because she travels the world in an RV with her parents, famous nature-show hosts Nigel (Tim Curry) and Marianne (Jodi Carlisle). Eliza is doubly unique because she was granted the magical ability to talk with and understand animals. With her teenage sister Debbie (Danielle Harris), her wild-boy foster brother Donnie (Flea), and her pet monkey Darwin (Tom Kane), Eliza gets involved with many different wildlife (and wild adventures).
