Episode Info: Tara begins to wonder if people really want her around when shes just herself. She tries to talk to her daughter Kate about sex but she clearly wants to avoid the subject. When son Marshall tells her that his English teacher may phone to talk about a disagreement they had at school, he decides that he would like his Dad take care of it. As a result, another of Taras personalities makes an appearance. This time its Alice, a old-fashioned housewife who bakes and irons clothes and the like. Her straightforward manner does solve several problems however.

Story: A woman struggles to find a balance between her dissociative identity disorder and raising a dysfunctional family.

Tara, a professional woman, artist, wife and mother, diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly referred to as MPD - Multiple Personality Disorder) stops taking her medication and struggles to unite her "alters" (alternate personalities.) As the seemingly disparate portions of her psyche seek to combine and peaceably co-exist, Tara, her husband, their kids, family and friends deal with the fallout, life and various morons who do not know their schizophrenia from their MPD.
