Episode Info: A Norse man called Beowulf shows Xena a strange padlock which reminds her of her past in the Norselands. The next morning, Xenas gone: shes travelling with Beowulf to mend some actions from her past, and Gabrielle decides to follow them. She finally reaches the Norselands, where she meets a woman called Brunnhilda who tells her about Xenas past as an evil valkyrie and her relationship with Odin, and how he told her where the powerful Rheingold was kept.

Story: Xena, a mighty Warrior Princess with a dark past, sets out to redeem herself. She is joined by small town bard, Gabrielle. Together they journey the ancient world and fight for the greater good against ruthless Warlords and Gods.

Xena, once known as "Destroyer of Nations," tries to redeem herself by fighting for the greater good. On her quest, she meets Gabrielle, a small town bard hungry for adventure. Together, they take down some of the worlds most formidable opponents, even the gods.

Together, they journey the ancient mythological world, and fight for the greater good against ruthless Warlords and Gods. A campy fantasy filled with action, adventures, Hong Kong styled martial arts, comedies, and drama, Xena comes face-to-face with her past many times over, and tries to right the wrongs she did. Gabrielle is eager to find her way and become a warrior. They go through a lot together and at the core of it all is their powerful friendship.
