Episode Info: When their supermarket issues a car share scheme assistant manager John Redmond agrees to drive promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson to work. After having trouble finding her house John is not best pleased when she spills the contents of her sample bottle on him, requiring a change of shirt. Nor is he happy when she asks about his ex- and mentions that she has signed up to a dating service. Things improve on the way home as he chats about being up for promotion and she tells him about a drug dealing former boyfriend. They decide that they are happy to share with each other.

Story: Assistant manager John Redmond and promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson are forced to commute together every day. But will they get along?

A supermarket suggests a company car-share scheme for its workers in order to save on staff parking spaces at the store. Level-headed Assistant Manager John is paired with ditzy Promotions Rep Kayleigh and the pair try to fill the awkward silences with laugh-out-loud comedy as they drive to and from work.

Car Share is directed by and stars Peter Kay. The sitcom follows John and Kayleigh, who have been thrown together in a company car-share scheme, forcing their paths to cross as they journey to their respective jobs at a major out-of-town supermarket. Each journey brings fresh insight into John and Kayleighs lives, with twists and turns in their unlikely relationship. The series, which is set and filmed in the northwest, will be available on iPlayer for a limited period between 1-5 April, before being broadcast on BBC One later in April.
