Episode Info: Kayleigh tells John this will be her last car share as she is having to move to her sisters out of town. To celebrate they have breakfast in a café where Kayleigh raises eyebrows with her costume to promote National Jam Week. On the return drive John admits that he wanted to be a musician and plays pub gigs, which impresses Kayleigh. As he drops her off they exchange gifts and John smiles as he drives away, listening to the music track she has made for him.

Story: Assistant manager John Redmond and promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson are forced to commute together every day. But will they get along?

A supermarket suggests a company car-share scheme for its workers in order to save on staff parking spaces at the store. Level-headed Assistant Manager John is paired with ditzy Promotions Rep Kayleigh and the pair try to fill the awkward silences with laugh-out-loud comedy as they drive to and from work.

Car Share is directed by and stars Peter Kay. The sitcom follows John and Kayleigh, who have been thrown together in a company car-share scheme, forcing their paths to cross as they journey to their respective jobs at a major out-of-town supermarket. Each journey brings fresh insight into John and Kayleighs lives, with twists and turns in their unlikely relationship. The series, which is set and filmed in the northwest, will be available on iPlayer for a limited period between 1-5 April, before being broadcast on BBC One later in April.
