Episode Info: Several wealthy residents including Charlie are the victims of some extremely well-informed burglars. All are members of the golf club and the burglars informant is Eddie St. Pierre, a former golf professional, now reduced to giving lessons. When Eddie meets up with an old flame whose millionaire husband is away on business, Jim sets a trap for the burglars, but nobody shows up. Has Eddie outwitted him?

Story: Recovering alcoholic and divorced father of a young daughter, DS Jim Bergerac is a true maverick who prefers doing things his own way, and consequently doesnt always carry out his investigations the way his boss would like.

Bergerac is set on the island of Jersey and was produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation in association with the Seven Network of Australia. First screened on BBC1, it stars John Nettles in the title role as Detective Sergeant Jim Bergerac, a recovering alcoholic and divorced father of a young daughter.
