Episode Info: Marys newest witness is a security officer from Chicago named Ed Fogerty, who becomes enraged when told that his placement with WITSEC means that he cannot have visitation with his son Miles. Not wanting Ed to bolt from the program, Mary and Marshall try to arrange for Ed to have visitation with Miles that is supervised by the Marshals Service. But they discover that the address and telephone number for Eds ex-wife seem to be phony - and then become bewildered as they gradually conclude that Eds son never existed.

Story: U.S. Marshal Mary Shannon must hunt down witnesses for federal cases in the witness protection program while also managing a rather dysfunctional family and her own personal life.

Mary Shannon is a U.S. Marshal in the witness protection program who spends her time relocating federal witnesses.. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mary works with her partner, Marshall Mann, to place criminals and innocent witnesses into new lives. When not putting her life on the line to protect federal witnesses, Mary attempts to manage her dysfunctional family, including overly dependent mother, Jinx, and younger sister, Brandi, both of whom live with her. Between work and family, Mary has little time for boyfriend Raphael Ramirez who plays minor league baseball.
